"The more you spread, the more you have, Love.”
HAPPY NEW YEAR, MY FRIEND!
As 2022 ends and 2023 enters, I have been thinking about the massive events we have been through, many of which, like wars and climate change, have a significant global impact.
In return, it made me think about the headlines we didn’t see –
** “The smallholders of those African and Asian countries _________, ______________, __________ increased their income by 30% to 70% in 2022 alone and expect to keep the same rate of economic growth in 2023.”
** “Global oil consumption has reduced by 7% this year.”
** "15 countries have announced that they will join the convention prohibiting spraying biocides in open spaces and food products. The ban will be applied gradually, with a total ban in 2035.”
My wish to you for 2023, my friend, is in the spirit of the Jewish and the Christian, both presented here.
“Love Your Fellow As Yourself.” (Leviticus 19:18, Bible)
“Love your neighbor as yourself”. (Matthew 22; 39, The New Testimony)
Jews consider this commandment to include the entire Bible, while according to Jesus, “All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”, where the first commandment is ‘Love the Lord.’ (Matthew 22; 37, 40)
As you have noticed, for 2023, I don’t wish you to get anything but to give something endless – Love.
It sounds easy, but to Love, and hence Care, for your fellow, you must start by Loving yourself. Do you Love yourself?
When you Love yourself and your fellow, you will not let your fellows’ poor smallholders remain in poverty; you will help them reach prosperity.
When you Love yourself and your fellow, you will care for the things that impact your community, wellness, and health, such as poverty, climate change, and chemical use.
When you practice Love, you find that the more you give, the more you gain.
Don't wait for the other to Love you first or later, and don't measure how much Love you give or get; simply Love the way you know.
Hence, my message and wish to you for 2023 is – Love and Care for yourself, your life, your fellow, and your common future.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
